PVSG/Card Swap

PVSG
Oh my! This month's meeting was small, but it was fun. I think everyone got a little something done. I think this meeting really what I had always envisioned the meeting would be like. Gina was working on getting some "Thank You" cards done. She wasn't quite able to get her mojo juiced up. Linda and I offerred up ideas, suggestions, and opinions to help. It really was a collaborative effort. In the end, I think the card came out wonderfully. I will try and get a copy of the final design and post it.

PVSG Card Swap
First, let me welcome Linda to the group of card addicts. As usual, we have wonderful cards. I will add the cards to the slide show later today, so keep an eye out for the new designs.

Card Challenge - SplitCoast Stampers SC234

I haven't posted this to SCS, yet. I was killing 2 birds with one stone. I going to using this card for my PVSG Card Swap. The theme for the month is Sympathy/Get Well. I realize you can't see much of the "brown", but it is the new SU! In-Color Soft Suede.

What do you think?

Fall ATC Swap Group 2

I just had so much fun doing these.

October - I stamped/embossed the eyes on the purple paper and used bleach to get the whites of the eyes white. The little ghosts are from a Creative Memories punch.

November - Some of you SU! folks you may recognize the birds tail feathers. Yes I used Pick a Petal stamp set. I cased it from SCS. I just love the whimsical look of him.

December - This is a favorite technique I use often. Stamp an image on card stock. Run the image through a sticker machine (I use a Xyron) wrong side DOWN. You want the sticky stuff to be on the image. (You can also use a tape runner) Cover with glitter and remove the excess. You get that frosty look.

Christmas Card Swap

Here is another Christmas Card for the swap I'm hosting. It is for June. It is an angel card for one in the group. Using my stickles I added red "berries" after the photo was taken. I even did some embossing on the inside using my new brass plate (thanks Karel). I cased the basic card from someone (can't remember who) one SCS. I just love the simplicity of it.

Black and White Inchies, Twinchies, & Trinchies (ITTs)

Yea!!! I finished the Black & White ITTs swap.

Here is my inchies. Sorry about the picture quality. Photography isn't my forte'.

Here is my twinchies. I don't know why but I also seem to be cutting something by hand; like these butterfly. I cut 30 of them.

And finally my trinchies. Again with the cutting, except this time I had to cut 90 of these flowers. Not to mention that I also had to paint them before cutting.

Let me know what you think.

Simply Scrappin' Kit - Sweet Nothings

Here are 5 pages that I made using Stampin' Up!'s Simply Scrappin' Kit Sweet Nothings. Everything used on each page came from the kit except the flower brads and the fleurettes. I didn't embellished these pages as I normally would, but my goal was to use only what was in the kit. After finishing these pages I still had alot of stickers left, so I could embellish them more if I wanted.

July Birthday Card # 1

# 4 out of 4 Father's Day Card

This one is for my father in-law.

I'm finally done with all my June events and swap, but no rest for the wicked. I'm going to try and get a head start on July. I only have 7 July birthday's to create cards for and now that I think about it all but one are for men. Boy, by the time I'm done with July I should have a large reference for masculaine cards.

# 2 & 3 Out of 4 Father's Day Caards

#2 This one is for my dad. He is just a big kid at heart. He is a fan of Pepe' le Pew, so I honor him with this skunk from a cat lover.

# 3 This one is for my husband. He likes to play golf (as if you couldn't guess. lol). I will have our daughter sign it.

Now I just have one more to create and I think I'm done for my June events and swaps.

More Birthday Cards

May is just killing my free time to play. I'm so busy getting my DD's birthday party together, making birthday cards for 4 other people, and not to mention Mother's Day. I just don't get time to do the fun stuff and just create!! So I killed two birds with one stone. This first birthday card is for a friend of my DD; who will also be 5 years old. I don't normally give the recipe on my blog, but I'm so happy with how the card turned out that I have to share. I used SU! retired Kid Cards Stamp set; SU! Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip CS and retired DSP Berry Bliss; SU! Pretty in Pink ribbon; SU! Chocolate Chip and Pretty in Pink Ink; Cuttlebug embossing folder; and Tattered Angel Glimmer Mist Coffee Shop and Pink Bubblegum.

This card is for a neighbors daughter. I took Okie's Challenge from the CMB. I just love the SU! DSP Walk in the Park. I have to order more of it before it is retired. It is only available until June 30th. It is listed in the Occasions Mini Catalog. I used SU! retired Wonderful Words and Baroque Motifs Stamp set, white CS, SU! DSP Walk in the Park, and SU! Cameo Coral CS; SU! Baja Breeze Ink; butterfly punch and SU! Scallop Punch; and Paper Studio Gems.
